A digital camera can be used in the classroom in a variety of ways, i.e. to take pictures of students doing classroom activities. Recently the 7th grade students at the school that I am student teaching at participated in a Catapult Competition. They had to research, design and construct a catapult, then they participated in a "Catapult Faceoff." I took several pictures of the event, as well as a panoramic view of the event (see pictures below)
The panoramic view of the competition was a very interesting picture to take with my digital camera. You take one picture from the right side of the scene, then you line up where you want to take the middle portion of the scene and take the picture. The final picture, on the left side of the scene, is taken after you line it up with the middle portion of the scene. Not all digital cameras have this capability. If your camera does not, then you can take the pictures in the order you wish to place them together and then use a photo shop program to put them into one continuous picture.
